The real importance of learning Spanish The fact that you are
reading this message, means that you are interested in learning a new
language. You have surpassed simply mild curiosity, and now "you
want it" - you really want to learn the language.
The knowledge of a second language is a key that allows you to interrelate,
learn, and understand
people from different countries. With language you can appreciate new
customs, new experiences, and the aspirations, desires, and different
realities of other people. You can meet them in their own atmosphere,
experience different social situations, cultures and technologies. Knowledge
of another language is far more than a
line to place on your résumé. In short when you learn to speak another language and travel to that country to practice, you feel the presence, emotion, spirit, smell, and colors of the country. You are the main character! This first-hand learning experience has been the most valuable in my trips through the United Kingdom and Europe, and I believe that firsthand experience is what really matters.
