Concerning
the courses
- What level should I take?
We have 4 levels of Spanish: No Spanish, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Your level
of Spanish will be assessed via a placement test at the Centre.
- What qualifications do the teachers at the
Centre have?
Our teachers are university professors with experience in teaching Spanish to
foreign students.
- How long should I study to acquire the skills to converse in basic daily situations without difficulty?
In our experience, an intermediate level (starting from nothing) can be achieved after
10-12 weeks of classes.
- What is the basic daily schedule at the Centre?
Group classes are held Monday through Friday from 9 am to 1 pm with a 30-minute break at 11 am. Each week you will
study 20 chronological hours. In the afternoons you can visit
commercial or tourist sites, do your homework and/or participate in activities organized by the
school.
- What materials do I need to bring to the Center?
Textbooks and other materials are provided by the Centre. You only need to bring paper
and a dictionary.
- If I am a graduate/professional can the Centre help me
to learn in a manner appropriate to my professional field?
The Centre can help to focus your studies in the specific area of your choice. For example, we can pair you with a Chilean university student studying in your area of interest (at an
additional cost) who will introduce you to the technical terminology of your profession.
We can also put you in contact with other professionals and sites related to your area so
that you can make visits or set up interviews
About
accomodations
- Can I arrive several days before beginning classes?
Of course. You need only to inform us how long you wish to stay
with your host family and when you wish to start classes. It is important that we
coordinate well with the host family.
